What makes a great brand identity

Today, the term “brand” is being used so often that it seems to have lost its original meaning. Most people refer to the logo of a company when they hear the word “brand”. However, a brand is more than just a simple logo. According to Marty Neumeier, a well-known speaker on brand, design, and innovation, “a brand is a person’s gut feeling about a product, service, or company.”

It is not just products that people buy; it is feelings and emotions. How do your prospects feel about your company? Can they differentiate your brand from the competition? Can they identify themselves with your brand? These are questions that most business owners grapple with.

If a brand is how people feel about a product, service, or organization, then what is brand identity? Without resorting to complex definitions, brand identity includes a company’s logo, fonts, colors, packaging, etc. When you have a consistent visual presence across all channels, customers can identify your brand with great ease. What steps can you take to create an outstanding brand identity?

Make sure social media campaigns are running smoothly

The use of social media has become a vital part of marketing. People spend a lot of time on social media, however, they are less interested in usual content. Customers only consume remarkable content, so make sure you assess your social media campaigns as you go along.

Conduct market research

It doesn’t matter how well you design your social media campaign; if you don’t target the right people, you won’t achieve the results you expected. Therefore, make sure to conduct thorough market research before you launch anything. You can contact people directly on the phone, can set up online quizzes or surveys, etc. Don’t just guess about your audience, do it well.

An effective logo will make a lasting first impression.

How would you recognize Apple, Red Bull, Coca-Cola, Adidas, Google, Microsoft, and McDonald’s? Many things about these brands will be lost to you, like their history or their founders, but their logos will probably never be forgotten. The logo is a brand’s most memorable feature. That’s why producing an unforgettable logo for your company is essential.

Make informative videos

Making a video may take a lot of time, but it is an investment worth making. It may be an elaborate video, but it describes your vision and mission. Videos are an efficient way to explain to your potential clients what makes your company unique. YouTube is full of videos; it is where people spend a lot of their time online; just make sure that the video is clear, relevant, and entertaining in certain situations.

Don’t get complicated!

You should never forget that customers want just one thing: to find your company in an instant, whether it is online or offline. They shouldn’t have trouble finding your website or recognizing your logo. The mantra ‘keep it simple’ stands as true as ever.

You need to clearly identify what makes you unique, what makes you stand apart from everyone else. Invest your time to create a brand identity that stands out from the crowd. Your hard work will pay off.
